Oral history interview with Helen Blumenthal, Oct. 13, 1981.

Blumenthal discusses her family, early life, and education in Seattle. She talks about her father, Jacob Berkman, and his clothing business, J. Berkman and Company, which was established in Seattle prior to the 1889 fire. The bulk of the interview concerns family, relationships, friends, and the social life Blumenthal knew during her youth. She briefly mentions her work with the blind and the Sisterhood of Temple de Hirsch.
